Whitlock: Serena, You Could’ve Done So Much More

We wrote about Whitlock taking on Jim Brown chastizing Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan for not attacking social issues a few weeks ago.  Pretty much when he writes anything, it’s bound to inspire some talking points.  That’s why we love Whitlock.  He’s great material.

This time, he’s taking shots at Serena Williams for being the greatest in her sport:

With a reduction in glut, a little less butt and a smidgen more guts, Serena Williams would easily be as big as Michael Jackson, dwarf Tiger Woods and take a run at Rosa Parks.

Whitlock: Jim Brown – Shut the Hell Up.

Whitlock professes that Jim Brown is an American Hero and we don’t disagree with him there.  His programs for the troubled youth of America are admirable and he stands up for what he believes in.  However, when it comes to pushing those beliefs on other people, Whitlock agrees with us.

Jim, shut up and run your own life.

Recently on Bryant Gumble’s HBO show, Brown laid into Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods for not being more active in social causes.  When you’re a mega-star like those two are, you have to consider the flow of information now-a-days.  We’ve got no problem whatsoever with these two icons not getting involved with certain social issues.  They choose to use their influence in other ways and that is completely fine.

They’re grown-ass men Jim.  They can make big boy decisions.
