Natalie GulbisPoints of Interest is the daily link dump for your morning or afternoon commute in and out of Souvenir City.  We’ll be throwing together some other stops from out there in blogdome and the interwebs to peak your interest.  Some of them will actually be what some might consider educational.  Most of them, are going to everything but that.

We’re playing golf again today.  Enjoying the summer as much as possible.  Again, playing with commenter/contributor NickJ up in the land of cheese.  But worry not.  That’s why younglefty is on board now.  He’s got an NL East post coming up for you today and if you’re lucky, he’ll bring more.  We’ve prepared the usual and included a Phil Mickelson post, an SEC preview from a special guest contributor and a LeBron post.  We love the LeBron post.  People from Cleveland probably won’t.  In honor of our golf round, we give you Natalie Gulbis.  After the jump, Tommy Boy.

There’s a lender out there that is allowing you to pledge your soul as collateral. We did this to a kid in middle school.  Still have the piece of paper with Mike Lange’s soul on it……..Michael Jackson is getting buried without his brain? What the hell, man?  This story is like America’s version of Princess Diana……..Just in case you missed yesterday, McNair’s girlfriend purchased a gun two days prior to Saturday. And, he injury was fired at point blank range to her head.  So was one of McNair’s……..Ever wonder what the gap between the top 1% and the rest of the country is? Wonder no longer!……..Robert McNamara, architect of the Vietnam War, died yesterday. Many acheievements on that resume despite the debacle of Vietnam

Ok.  So we bricked on the PM Points of Interest yesterday.  We’re making up for it today by treating you to the start of our college football previews and predictions.  We shot an 88 on Monday and a 98 on Tuesday at a much tougher course.  We got drunk on Tuesday we explains (but doesn’t excuse) our score and the biff on the POI yesterday.  Today, we’re back in action.  College football.  College hoops.  MLB.  NHL Free Agency.  NBA Free Agency.  Wimbledon.  And, the 4th of July.  We’ve got posts from all over the place today.  One errand to run early morning but that’s it.  And we let you wake up next to Rosaria Cannavo.  Just don’t tell Christian Panucci (ask Ty Duffy who he is).

Al Franken has made a Super Majority in the Senate. We used to like Al when we read his book and we were super liberal in college.  As we’ve gravitated towards the middle, we don’t.  Scary……..That North Korea threat has been averted.  For now……..Uncovering what really happened in Honduras.  Seems that we didn’t quite get all the facts on Mr. Zelaya the first time we read about this……..Have you guys seen Bing?  The new search engine?  Was unaware it was a Microsoft creation. Kinda stirring the pot a little……..Ever skipped out on a tab?  How about three times in one week?

After the jump, a few more links and the reason we don’t cover horse racing all that much…in video format, of course!  Also, a video that for some reason just cracks us up.  The version of Bohemian Rhapsody is hilarious and the slide that these kids are coming out of looks like a giant wang.  We got bored and the internet helped us last night.  Thank you, internet.

Christina Milian everyone.  So happy we’re going to the game tomorrow.  This all baseball schedule is killer.  Especially when only four teams played last night.  We’ll probably have one or two posts left for the remainder of the day.  However, we have a friend who recently discovered a treasure chest from the 1980s filled with old NES, Sega and other 8-bit system games.  There’s a strong possibility that we pay him a visit tonight.  Perhaps we’ll put together some posts on old school video games for you all tomorrow.  NickJ might be taking over for us tomorrow, we’re still not sure.  But we’ll be sure to have some programming for you.

Mark Cuban actually recommended this piece.  It’s pretty insightful as far as the direction that video is going on the web…….Awesome.  And we’ve been using Zicam for some time now to fight our colds.  Looks like we won’t be able to smell anything soon…….We read Drudge for bits and pieces.  We hope this isn’t some propaganda designed to make us dislike Barry.  This is scary if it’s actually going to happen.  We don’t like it…….Don’t feel bad MySpace workers.  Our former employer laid off a little less than 30% of their staff.  You’ll recover…….The Obama healthcare plan.  And, how he plans on getting it past all of the Republicans. There isn’t a dustpan big enough………
