Erin AndrewsPoints of Interest is the daily link dump for your morning or afternoon commute in and out of Souvenir City.  We’ll be throwing together some other stops from out there in blogdome and the interwebs to peak your interest.  Some of them will actually be what some might consider educational.  Most of them, are going to everything but that.

Apologies for the lateness of the afternoon links today.  We were reading a really long, but informative article on another site.  And had a conversation.  Regardless, today was a short day because we’re running at half speed after not getting a ton of sleep last night due to the 5 a.m. airport drive today.  Tomorrow, we PROMISE to get you the MLB Power Rankings, Big XII Preview and some NFL info.  We’re looking at fantasy football, let us know if you’re interested in it.  Erin Andrews, just because we feel bad for her taking guff on all this ball stuff.  Hopefully, she’s watching…

We only know one married guy in Florida that read our site?  JPQ, did you destroy this hotel room?……..The Big O with a big check out of some chick’s backside.  He’s still got it!……..Senator paid $96 to keep family quiet of his mistress.  That’s the price of silence?……..Franken rising, Palin falling.  Somehow, we’re not surprised……..Yes!  The unemployed need more help!  Champion this cause!……..

Someone want to explain to us what FOX was going for in this commercial?

Is this like Cloverfield?  Is the arch attacking all of the players?  Or is it quite possibly what we think it is?  Some lazy ass in the FOX marketing department was thinking…

Idiots.

2009 MLB All Star GameWe’ve always disliked the fact that the fans get to vote in the starters for the All-Star game.  And by always, we mean since 2003 when it started counting for something because Bud Selig is an asshat.  This year, there’s much more of the same.  Too many Red Sox.  Too many Yankees (and we like the Yankees).  And, the guys that got in that have no business being there.  Usually you lead with the good, but we’re going to crap on the fans who voted these losers in first:

Josh Hamilton – Great story.  Good guy.  But he got his due last year when he was crushing the ball out of the park at an amazing rate.  He’s coming off an injury and we think the Rangers would love for him to have an extra 3 days off when coming back.  He’s on our fantasy team and we’ve tried to trade him twice already this year.  .240/6/24.  If that was his April stat line, we’d be disappointed.
